My 2016 DS3 1.6 Blue HDI started blowing white smoke and emitting a strong ammonia smell last weekend. Liquid, presumably AdBlue, was dripping from the exhaust. The RAC confirmed it’s an AdBlue issue, and I’ve booked an appointment at Citroën, but they’re 25 miles away. I’m concerned about driving it there and the cost, as similar problems have happened before. Has anyone else faced this?

I think there is a malfunctioning injector, and it allows excess AdBlue into the exhaust.
The distance is manageable. But keep an eye on any warning lights.
This is all I could help. Good luck!

Okay, I’ll keep an eye on the warning lights and mention the injector issue to Citroën.

Fixing AdBlue problems can cost a lot, but usually, they just need to replace the injector or clean things out. That's cheaper than replacing the whole SCR thing.
