I’m dealing with some unusual vibrations in my 2019 DS7 Crossback. When I start the engine cold, it revs up to about 1500 RPM and vibrates quite a bit. Plus, I feel some vibrations as well in the steering wheel and seat at low RPMs, especially when I'm coasting or slowing down. Is this just how the DS7 rolls, or could there be an underlying issue? Anyone else felt these funky vibrations?

So when you fire up your ride, that 1500rpm rev is totally normal as the engine warms up. You shouldn't feel much vibration. But if you're feeling some wobble when you're slowing down, it could be a sign of a loose or worn engine mount. It's tricky to nail down without feeling it firsthand, so if you can, compare it to another DS7.

Also, if your car’s still under warranty, swing by a DS dealer for a check. They might say it's fine, but you can request a test drive in another DS7 for comparison.

Totally makes sense about the 1500rpm rev. I was starting to think it was just the engine warming up or something. But yeah, those vibrations when coasting or slowing down? Definetely messing with my head. I’ll take a look at the engine mounts like you suggested, and maybe check out another DS7 to see if its the same deal. Good thing the warranty’s still kicking, so I can just take it to the dealer if I need to. Appreciate the tips!

Hey, I'd love to hear how the unusual vibrations were managed. Could you share more about it for future reference? Thanks!

I just drove a DS7 and didn’t notice any unusual vibrations. However, I did feel some vibrations at higher speeds, which I think is pretty common for all EVs. It’s likely just the way electric drivetrains behave, especialy at higher speeds where the engine’s traditional noise and vibration are absent.

Vibrations like that don’t sound normal. Some minor shaking during a cold start is typical, but feeling it in the steering wheel and seat at low RPMs might indicate something like worn engine mounts, a dirty throttle body, or even a misfire. If it were me, I’d get it checked out sooner rather than later it’s better to catch a small issue before it becomes a big one.

Glad the tips helped! Those vibrations can definitely mess with your head, but hopefully, a look at the engine mounts or another DS7 will clear things up. And hey, good thing the warranty’s there just in case your car needs a little therapy!:)
