Bought a used 2021 DS3 about a month ago and everything was cruising along fine until earlier today. Now after a downpour, I'm suddenly dealing with some major issues. It started throwing errors like Gearbox fault and Electric traction system fault. Tried charging it up, but the indicator just stays red. What's worse, the beeping for the traction system fault won't stop, even after I locked the car and walked away! Anybody else run into these problems before? How did you fix it?

Try disconnecting and reconnecting your battery for about 10 mins.

It seems like water might have damaged some electrical parts causing the gearbox traction and charging errors. The constant beeping is another sign of an electrical issue. Check for water damage under the hood and inside the car especially near wires. With so many problems at once it's best to have the car towed to a DS specialist. They can find the exact cause and fix it. Water and electrical systems don't mix so it's best not to try and fix it yourself.

Water messing with gearbox and traction control? That sounds like a serious sealing or wiring issue. Did DS actually help, or are they just pretending this isn’t a known problem?
